This Mar Vista home was a run-down 900-square-foot house with 2 small bedrooms — too small and too dated to really work for a family.
We converted one of the small bedrooms into a primary suite and expanded the home from 900 to 1,200 square feet, updated both bathrooms, and added a standalone office and rec room in the backyard.
The owners now rent the home out above market value. The added space and updated finishes made the difference between a house that didn't work and one that does.
